Universal CityWalk Hollywood

You will find the CityWalk right next to Universal Studio’s entrance gates, but you do not need a park ticket to visit. It is a promenade with shopping, restaurants, and some additional entertainment. There were a lot more restaurants than I expected, I honestly anticipated like a bar and three sit down restaurants. The restaurants were pretty typical to what you usually find in touristy areas with lots of foot traffic, such as Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., Hard Rock Cafe, Wolfgang Puck, Margaritaville, and more. I was surprised to find that a VooDoo Doughnuts(a popular Portland based shop) recently opened a location at CityWalk. If you have an Annual/Season Universal Studios Hollywood pass then most of these restaurants will offer you a discount on your meal.

The shopping is overall minimal. I found it odd that there is more shoe stores than anything else, plus some out dated shops from my days in middle school like Abercrombie & Fitch, Guess, and Hot Topic. There is also a move theater, a piano bar, and the indoor skydiving experience iFly.

I would not plan to go out of my way to visit the Universal CityWalk in Burbank, but it has plenty of dining options if you are visiting Universal Studios for the day, or if you are staying nearby.
