This adorable bar, situated in downtown Juneau, was highly recommended and definitely had Alaskan flare. Its floors are covered in saw dust, the walls covered in a mix of animal figurines, pins, dollar bills, scribbles, and other funny stuff. While all of the waitresses were dressed up in some type of can-can outfits. The best part was the gentleman at the piano who played songs, but mostly called people out and made jokes. The menu selection was good, although a few items seemed unique such as the pizza topped with reindeer sausage. Attached to the Red Dog Saloon is the gift shop, which sold some really cute items.
The Saloon is very popular with travelers and by noon there was a long line out the door to try to get in, so plan ahead of time to try and get there early. It is definitely a touristy place, but the charm balances it out.
